Scooter Newsletter - February 2007 Hello everyone! In an endeavour to make our newsletter more email friendly we decided to make it the body of the email rather than an attachment. Please let us know what you prefer so we can make changes if it is still not optimal. January was a pretty hectic month with the new year bringing some pretty hot weather and a lot of rain! We have been thinking about commencing a Scooter Club or Association to enable us to organise Scooter related events – if you are interested please drop into the shop and add your name and contact details to a list so we can get an idea of how many people would be interested. We will keep you informed as to the number of people. It is not just for Scooter Style current customers – it will be a Noosa Scooter Club – so please let any scooterists you know in the area know about it. Scooter Style Events!!!!!!!! Don’t forget - we are having a sausage sizzle on Saturday 24th February at Scooter Style, 175 Eumundi Road, Noosaville so we can show off our new paint job and the new and improved interior of the store. We will start about 10am and would love you to drop in and join us in celebrating our new look. Tips for Scooting This month’s tip – securing your scooter PART TWO!!! Last month we talked about the security which came with your scooter – the steering lock, immobiliser switch and sometimes an ignition lock. This month – other security options. · Cable Lock – the cable lock is a lot like a bicycle lock. It is a flexible cable which wraps into the wheel of the scooter and can be attached to a light pole or other fixed object. It has a regular key and is easy to use. · Disk Lock – the disk lock fits onto the front wheel disk which prevents the scooter from being rolled away and is pretty much impossible to remove without the key. It has one of those funny keys which cannot be copied. But remember to use a lock reminder if you use this style of lock (this is a cable which attaches to the lock and your handlebar to remind you that you put the disk lock on) as the lock is not readily visible, it is possible to forget – which makes riding away very short and very embarrassing! Scooter Style Hire Our hire fleet is increasing all the time; we now have Orange Mio 50’s, a Pink Mio 50 and Silver Red Devils. Scott took this quick picture of some of them out the front of the shop just the other day – as you can see they are pretty stylish. Scooter Hire Scooters
